We have big exams coming up but the school won't let us out for study leave, they said we leave on the end of friday and start exams monday directly after. Sensible people who think they want more time to revise would just take the days off and pretend they were ill, others do stupid things. Just because another school went on strike and got study leave as a result, they tried to organise one except it didn't work cos there were only abt 50 ppl there and some of the teachers went outside and yelled at them to get to lessons and most left and you can't a strike wiv only a few people. So then just as we were settling down to lessons the fire alarm went off, I wonder who set that off?! Idiotic point was, some people were doing A level exams and A level science practicals, they heard the fire alarm so they had to get out too. It gets better - the fire department had to come cos they weren't notfied of a fire drill and they thought itwas real, cos it was a false alarm the school has been fined £2000. The head screwed at the whole year, the A levels can't be retaken and may all be cancelled because they came out of exam room and there is still no study leave but whoever is caught by the school will be expelled and they won't be allowed to come back to 6th form. As it's too late to apply to other schools or colleges and the head refuses to give any reference, I think they're a bit screwed.
Anyone have a view?
